Wired connection in 5.3
I would like to know if the new "Wired connection over Lightning-to-USB cable" feature is supposed to work for OSC messages or does it work only with MIDI messages?
I am using Lemur on iPad.
I am also waiting for the possibility to be able to use Lightning-to-USB cable that would work for sending OSC messages and charging.
It would let me drop the Jailbreak (the only solution until now to have this feature)....
I think this would be a great step ;)
Could you give some further details and instructions for this new feature announced ?
We’re pleased to announce that an update has been released. Go download the latest version (5.3.1A) from the App Store, as well as the corresponding installer from the Liine website:
USB connection is very simple, just plug in the cable and USB ports will be available in the Daemon and Editor:
Do not possible with WINDOWS version?
If I connect two iPads to my laptop, can I use Lemur on one iPad to control a MIDI instrument on the other iPad? Thanks in advance!
Adam — Yes, you'll have to use a combination of USB and Wi-Fi probably. We haven't tested multiple devices in all combinations. Please send an email to support with your results/challenges.
antahhh — USB is supported only on Mac for now, and only for MIDI (Lemur Daemon) and editing (Lemur Daemon).
I don't understand.
I installed the new Lemur Component from your website (5.3.1a) and Daemon is fine it showed me 5.3 but the editor still 5.2.2. I try to uninstall the app and reinstall but no way it's still 5.2.2.
Is it normal?
The problem is that i can't connect the lemur app with my mac. The known message appear:
"Unable to connect to host. Host must be busy. Please check destination address and retry".
I was suspected that the problem came from the bad editor version.
Thanks for your response,
The 5.3.2 update is now available. Please download from the App Store as well as the corresponding installer from the Liine website.
