Two questions

1) Why is the @content needed to send a string to a text widget?

2) If I put a dial and a text widget in a container, I can create custom OSC addresses without the /container prefix. However, while I'm now able to send SetValue messages to the text widget with no problem, the label widget no longer responds to messages.

I'm trying to create a Lemur template to use with our new live performance application, Gig Performer ( and ran into the two problems described above.
