Midi ports

Veit Renn Jul 01, 2016 05:24PM CEST

I created a Lemur control surface that has over 200 objects to control 8 loopers and their effects.

I assigned half of them to controller ‪#‎s‬ on midi channel 1 ( Target midi 1) and the other half on controller #s on midi channel 2 (Target midi 2)
Next step of course is to get Ableton midi-maped. I assigned all the buttons and knobs to what I wanted and voila. Right? Well.... not so fast.

Once I take a looked at the map I saw that every controller # shows twice (from each midi channel). Ableton does not seem to recognize the different channels when I mapped it. And each mapping shows as channel 1 which I can not change when in the list.

1. If the lemur control it set to channel 2 - controller # 77 and I map it to a device in live, it shows channel 1 as the input with the correct channel #? What? I am so confused right now.

One of the questions, is Lemur actually sending it out on channel 2 is probably as important as how do the targets relate to the deamon ports... Maybe that is were I am confused.

Any help is appreciated.!
