Android Nexus 7 Compatibility

Ziik Nazook Nov 24, 2014 06:05PM CET

Very excited that Lemur has made it onto the Android platform! To celebrate, I'm buying a tablet for the express purpose of running Lemur.
Now, I read that the Nexus 7 tablet is the one that will be best supported. My question is this: on Amazon there appear to be different generations of ASUS Nexus 7 to choose from. I see a "2013 Model" and a significantly cheaper "2012 Model" for sale. Does the model year affect your software's performance, ie can I get away with buying the cheaper 2012 model and still enjoy optimum performance and the same support committment?

A better CPU will give you a better framerate, but as long as you're running Android OS 4.2+ it's supported.

Hi! I'm really excited that Lemur finally came to our beloved Android and
can't wait to try it!
We understand that Nexus 7 is the only officially supported but i see from play store that you've run some tests on other devices with positive results, could you please publish an update on with device has passed the initial tests?

Tank you!

There's been some good reports from users on HTC One M8, Motorola Moto G, Asus A501CG, Nook HD+, Samsung Galaxy Tab and a few more.

Could you please confirm if it's been tested on the Tesco Hudl2 device?

I can see we've had at least one user install on Archos Hudl HT7S3 (ht7s3) had haven't heard any complaints — so we can only assume it's working for that user.
